EDDIE (RIFT OF NYARLATHOTEP)

Played by Kapik It must be nice to be a mayor of a prominent City district. Not that Eddie would know anything about that. He grew up in Cryfield, got married in Cryfield and had a son in Cryfield. And after a many years of climbing up the system, he became its mayor. This honestly doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things. Most people wouldn’t bother putting Cryfield on the map of the City, let alone thinking about the man in charge of it as a mayor of anything really. Eddie sometimes wonders how things work in Downtown. Maybe there, when you need something done, you just call the right people and they make the arrangements. Here, you better do it yourself. Eddie couldn’t even count all the times he helped a neighbor tow a car or look for a stray pet just because the proper authorities couldn’t be bothered. Cryfield’s problems are his problems. And most of the days he wouldn’t have it any other way. But he’d be lying to himself if he said he doesn’t dream of something bigger. Perhaps an actual role in the City’s power struggle beyond the borders of this miserable District of his. Perhaps power: an actual power… After all, with power comes money and he’d love to give his family the life they deserve. And what’s more, he’d be good at it. He’s a people person. Sometimes it almost feels unnatural though, as if they are lining up to fall at his feet with almost petrifying devotion. Yes. There is some sort of power inside Eddie he’s only beginning to understand. For now, he just hopes they share the same political agenda.
