SCARLETT (RIFT OF THE RED RIDING HOOD)
Played (occasionally) by Pavel
Scarlett’s just a girl.
Sometimes she feels like the universe is hell bent on reminding her of this her every waking second: how little she actually matters in a world governed by adults. Like her parents who see her mostly as an accessory to their rich lifestyles; her school teachers for whom she’s just another number in the attendance sheet; her friends’ families who cannot wait to use her as a future pawn in their game for redistribution of the City’s fortune.
Or that man who… did you know what.
Oh, you don’t? Well, in your defense, nobody does. She’s never told anyone – she cannot imagine finding the strength to do that – and perhaps she doesn’t even remember herself anymore. She’s learnt not to think about it too much since then. On the few occasions she did, her reality spiraled into a bleak vortex of panic and anxiety.
But whatever it was that happened that night, it changed her life into a constant struggle for control.
And then one day, purely on accident, she found a perfect partner in crime.
It looked like an ordinary coat in a thrift shop, sold for a huge discount if you buy in bulk. Full of holes, scratches, stains and burns. Not something you’d expect a rich girl to wear, but Scarlett never liked the rich girl persona anyway. She put in on then and barely took it off since.
She has no idea who it belonged to before her or how exactly its powers work, but it does have powers. It protects wherever she goes and whatever she does. And that’s exactly what Scarlett needed: someone to watch out for her without simultaneously ordering her around and questioning her every move.
