FREEDA (RIFT OF NYX)
Played by Terka
I don’t think you’ve met Freeda yet. If you had, you’d remember her. This street artist’s performance is not something one usually forgets.
During the day she’s celebrated as one of the most talented acrobats in the Old Quarter, juggling, rope walking, poi spinning, hoopdancing, fireshows, you name it.
But during the night, she’s an outcast.
It’s a true testimony to the mood in this City that she’s only deserving of a deafening applause as long as people wish to be entertained – but those same people would avert their gaze when they’re passing her in the streets after dark, perhaps even crossing over to the other sidewalk. Because she’s not one of them, you know? She doesn’t have a job, a family, she’s not normal. She’s a freak. A welcome distraction on their afternoon date, sure, but who knows what these people are really up to?
She might be a murderer. A hobo. A dirty gypsy. She might be dangerous.
In a way, Freeda is all of the above. She’s also an important leader of that part of Cryfield whose voices are not usually heard. She speaks and cares for the homeless and poor – and most importantly she is the sole manager and employee of Cryfield’s social program for helping children from socially weak families (and, as Freeda’s slowly learning, potential dangerous Rifts).
She also speaks to the puddles in the street sometimes. And when it comes to water she can definitely do more than just talk to it. But hey. What dirty hobo doesn’t have their quirks?
